There will be two informational discussions here at Nobel from the Destinations for Teens - PEP - Prepare, Education, Prevent. Feb. 4th, 8-11am and Feb. 11, 8-11am. Please see the flyer by clicking on the news announcement title.

Check out the After School Clubs for Spring 2020! The clubs will begin on Jan. 13th! Students must turn in the permission slip to the activity sponsor BEGINNING 1/13/20 first day of attendance.

Nobel's Spring Musical will be Shrek the Musical Jr. Applications are in room 10 and online. All applications for tech and cast auditions are due no later than Wednesday, January 22. Tuesday, Jan 14th Join Elena Epstein, Editor of L.A. Parent, for a Parent Workshop on Sex, Drug, and Alcohol 8:30 a.m. in the Parent Center. Space is limited.



Thursday, January 16th Student Health Mental Services will present a Parent Workshop on How to Talk to Your Children about the Dangers of Vaping. Mark your calendar, you won’t want to miss this very important topic.





Tuesday January 21st at 8:30 a.m. Join me, Coffee with the Principal and learn about upcoming Spring events! At 9:30 a.m. College Planning Expert will present a Parent Workshop on How to get FREE Money for College and speak on the different options available to afford college.

All Nobel families will be receiving the annual Title I Parent Involvement Policy, the School Parent and Family Engagement Policy, and the Nobel School Compact Brochure in the mail in the next few weeks.

This is a friendly reminder to review your child’s CAASPP testing results on the SBAC state testing from 2019. Our goal at Nobel is to have all students meet or exceed the standards on the math and ELA test. These tests track students’ progress toward being college and career ready as they move from elementary to high school. The performance on these assessments and the students’ grades may affect their placement in math, ELA and electives classes each school year. The only way to receive the results from last school year is through the parent portal. Please log in to the parent portal and go the testing option to obtain the test results. If you need assistance accessing the test scores, contact the school and ask for our technology coordinator. When you review the test results with your child, help them set a goal for improvement on the 2020 state assessments. If you feel your child needs additional support in math or English, please contact us to learn about the options available for extra help. We look forward to another productive school year, where all of our Nobel students achieve at their highest level.
