Parents/Guardians can apply for Spring Enrichment courses starting Monday, January 11, 2021- Friday, January 22, 2021 at enrichment.lausd.net. Please note some courses will be for credit. Classes start the week of February 8, 2021.

Please join us for Coffee with the Principal! Coffee with the Principal is intended to be an opportunity to meet and to discuss current issues, information regarding second semester events, and ask questions. January 19, 2021 at 1pm. All 7th grade students that had Health during the Fall semester, please return your health book only on January 5, 2021, between the hours of 10-3pm on the service road. Students do not need to be present as the books will be scanned into the system. Students that have Health during the Spring semester, can come on January 8th from 10-3pm to pick up your health book. This will be a drive through process and all COVID safety measures will be taken to ensure everyones safety.

The Inclusive Schools Week’s theme is “The Time for Inclusion is Now!” Since its inception in 2001, Inclusive Schools Week has celebrated the progress that schools have made in providing a supportive and quality education to an increasingly diverse student population, including students who are marginalized due to disability, gender, socio-economic status, cultural heritage, language preference, and other factors. The Week also provides an important opportunity for educators, students and parents to discuss what else needs to be done in order to ensure that their schools continue to improve their ability to successfully educate all children. The district’s School Experience Survey is now available for all parents and staff, and students in Grades 4-12. We encourage everyone to complete this survey no later than December 11 because it provides important feedback about the teaching and learning environment at our school.

This year, to protect the health and safety of everyone in our school community, we strongly encourage parents to take the survey online by clicking the title of this news article or go to achieve.lausd.net/schoolexperiencesurvey and clicking the “Parent Survey” button near the top of the page. The parent survey is available in English and Spanish and can be completed on any digital device, including the computers provided by Los Angeles Unified. At Nobel we are encouraging advisory classes to obtain 100% student and parent participation. After completing the parent survey, take a picture or screenshot of the screen showing submission of the survey or print out a copy of the screen that shows you submitted the survey. Have the child provide this information to their advisory teacher.

If you are not able to take the survey online, a limited number of paper surveys are available at our school. Please contact us for details.

In order to move forward on our return to campus safely, we ask that every family complete The Program Selection Form online at reopening.lausd.net/familyselection by Sunday, December 6, 2020. Each family will be able to choose between the two instructional models that will be available for families when it is safe for students to physically return to our campuses. Please click the title of the news article to find out more about MEND and their mission. Every year Nobel helps with a MEND drive, but this year we cannot collect donations at Nobel. MEND has created an Amazon wish list for us to use! Please consider donating if you are able and spread the word! Our MEND drive is going on NOW until December 4th.
